Liam Mulrooney is a New Zealand association football player who currently plays for Glenfield Rovers in the Lotto Sport Italia NRFL Division 1B. Born in England he moved to New Zealand at a young age where he played his junior football for Waitakere City.
A foundation player with Auckland City FC (2004–2009) in the New Zealand Football Championship, Mulrooney played in both games at the 2006 FIFA Club World Cup, against Al-Ahly (Egypt)[1] and Jeonbuk FC (South Korea).[2]
Mulrooney was not re-signed by Auckland City FC coach Paul Posa for the 2009-2010 season as he opted for a more youthful squad. He currently coaches a high school football teams at Waitakere College.
